Spring/Fall Flies

Woolly Buggers are known by all anglers as flies that you use during spawning season, as fish are aggressive towards other fish . This is during the fall for Brown Trout, and Brook Trout. It is spring when the Rainbow, and the Cutthroat Trout spawn.

The Brown Trout Minnow is meant to to do the same thing as any streamer during spawning season. Make fish angry, so they bite the hook. 

This is the 3rd fly on this list, which describes the idea of making fish bite the hook out of anger. This is my favorite for this, with its wide colors, and patterns. 

Okay, this just might be my favorite pattern for winter, spring, and fall. This is just because it is down right effective and makes fishing easy. That's the goal right. Enjoy the water with your buds while your pulling fish out of the stream. 

This might be one of my favorite patterns for the fall/spring timeframe. This small fly grabs the attention of all fish with it's shinny buglike look.
